I started making these Cranberry Turkey Sliders to use up turkey after holidays, but they've now become our go-to snack all year. There's something almost magical when you combine the butter glaze, those sweet Hawaiian buns and the zesty cranberry. Now my kids ask for them during sports events, while watching movies, or whenever friends stop by.

One Amazing Mouthful

These sliders really shine because everything works together so well. The zesty cranberry cuts the heaviness of the cheese, and that herb-infused butter topping just wraps it all up perfectly. They're incredibly simple to throw together too - I can whip them up when people drop by unexpectedly.

What You'll Need

  • Hawaiian Rolls: A pack of 12, giving you that pillowy, sweetened foundation.
  • Deli Turkey: Get 12 thin slices for easy stacking.
  • Cranberry Sauce: About ½ cup, bringing that sweet-tart punch that makes these special.
  • Havarti or Provolone Cheese: You'll need 6 slices to get that wonderful melt.
  • Butter Glaze: Mix 4 tablespoons melted butter with 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, ½ teaspoon dried onion, ½ teaspoon poppy seeds, and 1 teaspoon chopped chives for that flavor boost.

Mix It Up

I'll swap in Swiss cheese sometimes or throw in whatever fresh herbs I've got growing. When I want to get fancy I go for brie because it melts so beautifully. You can really play around with these and create your own version.

Keep Them Fresh

You'll want to eat these hot from the oven when the cheese is still stretchy and the tops are crispy golden. Got some left? They warm up great in the oven just cover them with foil so they don't dry out.

Holiday Magic Any Time

These sliders bring the comfort whether you're using up holiday leftovers or just want those warm familiar flavors. They add a touch of celebration to ordinary days and there's nothing better than watching that cheese stretch when someone grabs one.

Frequently Asked Questions

→ Can I prep these in advance?
Sure, you can put them together early and chill them. Just add the butter mixture before baking when you're ready.
→ Which cheese should I pick?
Mild Havarti, creamy Swiss, or sharp provolone work great. It’s all about what flavor you like best.
→ Can leftovers work?
Absolutely, thinly sliced leftover turkey is a fantastic option instead of deli meat.
→ What’s the purpose of foil while baking?
The foil keeps the tops from getting too dark while letting the cheese melt and the sliders heat through.
→ What’s the best way to store leftovers?
Wrap them up and keep them in the fridge for up to 2 days. Warm them in the oven for the best taste.
