Cajun Chicken Sandwiches (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped finely.
02 - 1 medium onion, finely diced.
03 - 1 pound ground chicken.
04 - 1 celery stalk, chopped fine.
05 - 3 garlic cloves, crushed.
06 - 1 tablespoon butter.
07 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
08 - 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning.
09 - 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar.
10 - 1/2 cup tomatoes, crushed.
11 - 1/2-1 teaspoon hot sauce, if you'd like.
12 - 1/4 teaspoon salt, or however you like it.
13 - 1/2 cup heavy cream.
14 - 4 burger buns.
15 - Cheese slices (optional topping).
16 - Slaw (optional topping).
17 - Lettuce, shredded (optional topping).
18 - Sour cream (optional topping).

# Instructions:

01 - In a large skillet, melt the butter and heat up the oil on medium-low heat.
02 - Toss in the onion, celery, and bell pepper. Cook for 7-8 minutes until they're softened.
03 - Add the chicken and break it into smaller pieces while cooking for about 5 minutes.
04 - Stir in the Cajun spices with the garlic.
05 - Mix everything and cook for only a minute more.
06 - Add the tomatoes, sweetener, hot sauce, and cream.
07 - Stir it all together and turn down the heat.
08 - Let it cook on low for about 15 minutes. Stir it every once in a while.
09 - Sprinkle in salt and adjust it to your liking.
10 - Spoon the filling onto warm buns and top it with whatever toppings you want.
