Spread a layer of halved strawberries inside your pie crust.

Mix the rest of the strawberries with sugar, cornstarch, water, and lemon juice in a pot. Gently crush them with a spoon or masher.

Put the pot on medium heat, stirring the whole time. Once it starts bubbling, keep cooking until it's thick enough (takes around 3-5 minutes).

Turn off the heat and set the mixture aside for about 5 minutes to cool down a bit.

Pour the slightly warm glaze over the strawberries in the pie crust.

Put it in the refrigerator and leave it there for a good 4 hours so it sets nicely.

Add whipped cream on top, if you want, just before digging in.
