# Ingredients:

01 - 3 whole eggs.
02 - 1 stick of unsalted butter (1/4 cup).
03 - 1 box of your favorite brownie mix.
04 - 3 tablespoons plain water.
05 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla essence.
06 - 1 cup white sugar.
07 - 1/2 cup of cooking oil—pick vegetable.
08 - 1 1/2 cups of light corn syrup.
09 - 3 handfuls (3 cups) of pecans.
10 - 4 more eggs, separated for topping.

# Directions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and let it heat up.
02 - Stir water, eggs, oil, and brownie mix together with care.
03 - Spread batter into a 9x13 pan and bake for about 25 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
04 - Combine sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla together on medium heat until it thickens up. This takes 10-15 minutes.
05 - Take the topping off the heat and mix in pecans gently.
06 - Pour that pecan topping over the cooled brownies evenly.
07 - Slide the pan back into the oven and bake for another 25 minutes. Watch for slight bubbling on top.
08 - Let everything cool well before cutting into squares.

# Notes:

01 - Wait until brownies are completely cool to add the pecan layer.
02 - The topping should set up like a thick spread.
03 - Fully cooled brownies will slice much cleaner.
04 - They stay fresh at room temperature for about 3-4 days.
05 - Store in the freezer for up to 3 months without a problem.
