# Ingredients:

01 - 1 large Vidalia onion.
02 - 2 tablespoons sour cream.
03 - 2 tablespoons mayo.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
05 - 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
06 - 1/8 teaspoon black pepper.
07 - 1 1/2 teaspoons horseradish.
08 - 1 1/2 tablespoons ketchup.
09 - 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder.
10 - Oil for deep frying.
11 - 1/4 teaspoon table salt.
12 - 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika.
13 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour.
14 - 2 tablespoons cornstarch.
15 - 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika.
16 - 1 1/2 teaspoons salt.
17 - 1 1/2 cups buttermilk.

# Directions:

01 - Whisk together the mayo, ketchup, sour cream, horseradish, and spices. Let it rest in the fridge.
02 - Peel the onion, trim the root base lightly, slice downward into even sections while keeping the root whole.
03 - Stir the flour, seasonings, and cornstarch together until evenly combined.
04 - Toss onion with the flour, dip in the buttermilk, and then coat it again with the spiced flour mix.
05 - Carefully fry in hot oil (375°F) for about 4-6 minutes until crust is golden brown.
