Apple Pie Cookies (Print Version)

Mini apple pie treats with caramel-infused apple filling and flaky crust, making them an ideal autumn snack or dessert.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 box of chilled pie crusts (or homemade), used as the cookie base.
02 - 1 cup of apple pie filling, finely chopped for stuffing.
03 - 1/2 cup of caramel sauce, for extra sweetness.
04 - 1 beaten egg, used as an egg wash.
05 - 1/4 cup of white sugar, for sprinkling.
06 - 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, for added taste.

# Directions:

01 - Lay your pie crusts on some floured space. Use a glass or cutter to cut circles about 2-3 inches wide.
02 - Line a sheet with parchment and place half the dough circles on it. Add chopped apple filling to each, then drizzle caramel on top.
03 - Pop another dough circle over each filled one. Push down the edges with a fork to seal everything inside.
04 - Brush each cookie's surface with your beaten egg. Combine cinnamon and sugar, then sprinkle it over the dough.
05 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake them for 15-18 minutes, or until their tops turn golden and delicious-looking.
06 - Give your cookies a little time to cool before digging in. Warm ones are great, especially with a drizzle of extra caramel.

# Notes:

01 - Pinching the edges closed keeps the filling from spilling out in the oven.
02 - Cutting the apple filling small makes sure each cookie has a balanced amount.
03 - These go amazingly well with vanilla ice cream or a little caramel drizzle.
