Ultimate Chocolate Dream (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup plain sugar (100g).
02 - 1/2 cup water (120g).
03 - 1 tbsp dark cocoa powder (6g).
04 - 2 cups sugar (400g).
05 - 2 cups plain flour (260g).
06 - 3/4 cup dark cocoa powder (75g).
07 - 2 tsp baking powder (8g).
08 - 1 1/2 tsp soda for baking (9g).
09 - 1 tsp table salt (6g).
10 - 1 cup hot water (240g).
11 - 1 cup sour cream, soft (255g).
12 - 1/2 cup cooking oil (110g).
13 - 2 large eggs, soft (112g).
14 - 2 tsp vanilla flavor (8g).
15 - 1 tsp espresso powder (optional).
16 - 2 cups soft unsalted butter (434g).
17 - 1 cup dark cocoa powder (100g).
18 - 1 tsp vanilla flavor (4g).
19 - 1/2 tsp table salt (3g).
20 - 5 cups icing sugar (625g).
21 - 3/4 cup rich cream (180g).
22 - 1 1/3 cups melted chocolate chips (230g).
23 - 2 cups small chocolate chips (360g).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat up sugar and water and mix cocoa powder.
02 - Let the mixture cool completely.
03 - Set oven to 350°F. Prep three pans, 8 inches wide.
04 - Mix together all dry items.
05 - In another bowl, combine liquids.
06 - Gently mix the liquids into dry ingredients.
07 - Pour into pans evenly, bake 23 to 26 mins.
08 - Cool 15 mins first, then trim tops to level.
09 - Cream butter until smooth. Blend in cocoa, vanilla, and salt. Alternate adding sugar and cream. Finish with melted chocolate.
10 - Coat cooled layers with syrup.
11 - Layer the cake with buttercream in between.
12 - Spread buttercream over cake. Add chocolate chips on sides and pipe on top for looks.
