Toffee Holiday Snack (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup packed brown sugar.
02 - 2 cups chocolate chips (Guittard or Ghirardelli suggested).
03 - 40 crackers, like saltines.
04 - 1 cup butter.
05 - 1/2 cup sprinkles or thinly sliced almonds.
06 - Non-stick spray for cooking.

# Instructions:

01 - Use a silicone mat or cover a baking sheet with foil, then coat it with non-stick spray.
02 - Set your oven to 400°F.
03 - Arrange crackers side-by-side on the pan.
04 - Combine the butter and brown sugar in a pot and bring it to a boil. Keep boiling for 3 minutes.
05 - Pour the hot toffee over the crackers and spread it all around to coat.
06 - Place the pan in the oven for 3-5 minutes until everything's bubbly.
07 - Remove the pan, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, then let it heat for 2-3 minutes in the oven again. Spread melted chocolate evenly.
08 - Before the chocolate hardens, top it with sprinkles. Let it cool completely either at room temp or in the fridge, then break into chunks.

# Notes:

01 - Make up to 5 days before serving.
02 - Nestle's chocolate chips aren't ideal because they don't melt smoothly.
03 - A small offset spatula works great for spreading.
