Quick Peanut Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base for the Sauce

01 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup
02 - 2 tablespoons lime juice
03 - 2 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce
04 - ⅓ cup smooth, natural peanut butter

→ Add Some Flavor

05 - 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
06 - 1 tablespoon sriracha
07 - 1-inch piece of ginger, grated

→ To Thin It Out

08 - 1-2 tablespoons water, as needed

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a medium-sized bowl and mix the peanut butter, tamari or soy sauce, lime juice, and maple syrup. Toss in the sriracha. Use a grater to add the garlic and ginger right into the mix.
02 - Stir it all up with a whisk until the mixture is nice and smooth. It'll probably be on the thick side for now.
03 - Pour in a tablespoon of water at a time, stirring after each addition, until it's the thickness you're happy with. Go slow so you don’t overdo it and make it too runny.
04 - Put the sauce to good use right away for dipping, tossing, or drizzling. If you're not using it now, pop it in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge for up to 5 days. It'll thicken when cold, so let it warm up or add a little water when you're ready to use it.

# Notes:

01 - Go for natural peanut butter made from just peanuts and maybe a dash of salt for the best results.
02 - Switch up the peanut butter with alternatives like almond butter, cashew butter, or tahini if you want to try something different.
03 - Need a soy-free option? Coconut aminos work too but might need a pinch more salt since they’re not as salty as soy sauce or tamari.
