# Ingredients:

01 - Peel 5 sweet potatoes and slice into 1/2 inch rounds.
02 - 1/2 cup of salted butter.
03 - A teaspoon of maple flavoring.
04 - Two tablespoons of water.
05 - Packed brown sugar, 1 cup.
06 - Half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
07 - Nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon.
08 - Caramel drizzle, 2 tablespoons.
09 - 1 teaspoon of coarse sea salt.
10 - Pecans, 1 cup.
11 - Half a cup of pure maple syrup.
12 - 1/4 cup packed brown sugar.

# Directions:

01 - Melt butter on medium heat for about 4 minutes until it browns.
02 - Take it off the heat and stir in maple, water, sugar, spices, and caramel. Let that cook on low for 10 minutes.
03 - Preheat the oven to 375°F and arrange the potato slices neatly in a greased pan.
04 - Drizzle the maple butter sauce over the potatoes, then cover tightly with foil.
05 - Bake them for 60 minutes until soft when pierced with a fork.
06 - Combine maple syrup and sugar on the stove until it bubbles, stir in pecans, and cook for 8 minutes.
07 - Spread the hot pecans on parchment paper and let them cool completely.
08 - Scatter cooled pecans and sea salt over the potatoes before serving warm.

# Notes:

01 - Carefully watch butter while browning to prevent burning.
02 - It's okay to prep the potatoes earlier.
03 - Make those candied nuts fresh, right before serving.
04 - Don't add pecans until they've cooled fully.
05 - Maple syrup straight from a tree is the best!
