Sweet Crunch Candy (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup salted peanuts.
02 - 1/2 cup almond slices.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
04 - 1/3 cup water.
05 - 1/2 cup light corn syrup.
06 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar.
07 - 1/2 cup salted butter.

# Instructions:

01 - Lay parchment on a baking sheet.
02 - Get all your ingredients measured and ready first.
03 - On medium-high heat, melt the butter.
04 - Pour sugar, corn syrup, and water into the pan. Stir for a couple of minutes until the sugar dissolves.
05 - Add the candy thermometer to the pan.
06 - Cook the mix to 300°F, stirring regularly, which should take about 15 minutes.
07 - Quickly stir in the baking soda.
08 - Add the nuts right away and mix.
09 - Quickly pour the mixture onto the parchment and spread it flat using a spatula.
10 - Let it sit for half an hour to cool, then break it into chunks.

# Notes:

01 - Once it's at the right temperature, work as fast as you can.
02 - You could toast the nuts beforehand so they'll spread easier.
