01 -
Set your oven to 350°F (roughly 175°C). Lightly grease a baking pan that’s about 9x13 inches.
02 -
Grab a medium-sized bowl and stir the flour, baking powder, and salt until they blend nicely.
03 -
In a bigger bowl, whip the softened butter with the 1 and 3/4 cups of sugar till fluffy and smooth. This should take 2-3 minutes.
04 -
Add the eggs one at a time, allowing each one to mix in completely before adding the next. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
05 -
Slowly stir the dry mixture into the wet one until everything just comes together. Don’t overmix it!
06 -
Pour the batter into your greased pan, making sure the surface is level by smoothing it out with a spatula.
07 -
In a tiny bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Scatter this mixture evenly over the batter in the pan.
08 -
Pop it in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when the edges are golden, and a toothpick comes out clean or with a few crumbs.
09 -
Let it cool in the pan till completely set. Then, cut the bars into squares and serve.
