Slow Cooker Beef Cheddar (Print Version)

Shredded beef, cheddar cheese sauce, and Arby’s sauce stacked on onion rolls for satisfying homemade sandwiches.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2-3 pound chuck roast
02 - 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
03 - 1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
04 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
05 - 1 ½ cups Arby's sauce plus more for topping
06 - 1 cup cheddar cheese sauce (e.g., Ricos brand)
07 - 6 onion rolls

# Directions:

01 - Add the chuck roast to the bottom of a 6 quart slow cooker.
02 - Sprinkle the dried minced onion and Montreal steak seasoning evenly over the chuck roast.
03 - Pour the Worcestershire sauce and 1 ½ cups Arby's sauce evenly over the roast.
04 - Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
05 - Once the roast is tender, use two forks to shred the meat. Stir the shredded meat into the sauce and keep the slow cooker on WARM for serving.
06 - Heat the cheddar cheese sauce in the microwave for serving.
07 - Pile the shredded beef onto onion rolls. Top with cheddar cheese sauce and additional Arby's sauce.

# Notes:

01 - Add tomato, lettuce, and mayo for a deluxe version similar to Arby’s.
02 - No Arby’s sauce? Substitute with a spicy BBQ sauce.
03 - Swap cheese sauce for shredded or sliced cheddar; the heat will melt it.
04 - Toast the rolls for extra crunch and texture.
05 - Not a fan of onion rolls? Substitute with any preferred buns, or make sliders with dinner rolls.
06 - Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
07 - Slow cookers vary. Suggested cooking times are approximate and may require adjustment.
