In a skillet on medium heat, brown the sausage until it's thoroughly cooked. Drain the grease, then set it aside to cool slightly.

In a big bowl, stir the cooled sausage together with shredded cheese, softened cream cheese, black pepper, and garlic powder until well blended.

Lay out the crescent dough and pull apart the triangles. Scoop a good amount of the sausage mix onto the wide end of each triangle, roll them up, and place them seam-first onto the prepared tray.
