# Ingredients:

01 - A pair of pre-made puff pastry rolls
02 - About 2/3 cup of creamy cheese spread
03 - Roughly 6 ounces of smoked salmon slices

→ Seasonings

04 - 1 shallot, finely chopped
05 - 16 fresh chives
06 - A dash (¼ tsp) of ground black pepper

→ Topping

07 - 1 egg yolk
08 - 1 tablespoon of milk
09 - 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds for decoration

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the cream cheese, chopped shallot, snipped chives, and black pepper. Cut the puff pastry into circles, about 12 inches each.
02 - Spread a layer of the cheesy mixture over one pastry circle. Place the smoked salmon on top, then cover it with the second pastry circle.
03 - Slice 16 even strips starting from the middle outward, then twist each one gently to create a pattern. Make a small vent hole in the center.
04 - Brush the top with the egg wash mixture, sprinkle on the poppy seeds, and bake it in a 350°F oven for 30-35 minutes, or until it's beautifully golden.

# Notes:

01 - Best enjoyed right after baking
02 - Keep pastry cool before prepping
03 - This makes a fantastic party dish!
