Melt Away Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 cups salted butter, softened.
02 - 3/4 cup powdered sugar.
03 - 2 1/4 cups plain flour.
04 - 3/4 cup cornstarch.
05 - 2 teaspoons optional flavoring (vanilla, lemon, or orange).
06 - 1/4 cup sprinkles, if you want.

# Instructions:

01 - Whip butter and powdered sugar until it’s airy, about 3–4 minutes. Add flavoring if you’re using it.
02 - Gently fold in cornstarch and flour until it just comes together.
03 - Divide dough into 36 small pieces. Shape into balls, flatten with a fork on a lined tray, and throw on sprinkles if you'd like.
04 - Place shaped dough in the fridge for 2 hours, or freeze it so it firms up.
05 - Preheat oven to 300°F. Bake for 19–20 minutes, until the tops no longer look shiny.
06 - Leave cookies on the tray to cool fully before moving them.

# Notes:

01 - Keep at room temperature for up to 7 days.
02 - Freeze them for up to 2 months.
03 - Try topping them with jam, chocolate, or chocolate kisses.
