# Ingredients:

01 - Kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
02 - 1 tbsp brown sugar.
03 - 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce.
04 - 2 tbsp Dijon mustard.
05 - 1 cup ketchup.
06 - 1 ½ cups beef stock.
07 - 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper.
08 - 1 tsp chili powder.
09 - 1 tsp smoked paprika.
10 - 3 cloves garlic, minced.
11 - 2 tbsp tomato paste.
12 - 1 small green bell pepper, diced.
13 - 1 small sweet onion, diced.
14 - 1 ½ lbs 90/10 lean ground beef.
15 - 1 tbsp vegetable oil.

# Directions:

01 - Warm up the oil in a big skillet on medium-high heat. Toss in the ground beef and cook it, stirring now and then, until it browns, around 3-5 minutes. Get rid of any extra grease.
02 - Mix in the diced onion and bell pepper. Let them soften, which will take about 3-4 minutes.
03 - Throw in the tomato paste, garlic, smoked paprika, chili powder, and cayenne. Stir for just a minute until the smell gets nice and toasty.
04 - Pour the beef stock into the skillet while scraping the pan to loosen any browned bits stuck at the bottom. Stir in the ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
05 - Turn the heat to low and let it bubble gently. Give it the occasional stir until the mixture thickens up and tastes amazing, about 15-20 minutes.
06 - Scoop the saucy beef onto toasted buns and dig in right away.
