Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to preheat.

Warm up olive oil or butter in a skillet on medium heat. Cook ground meat with diced onions till browned. Drain the fat.

Combine the milk, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper in a bowl.

In a greased casserole dish, layer half the sliced potatoes, spoon over the meat and onion mix, sprinkle on half the cheese, and repeat.

Pour the prepared sauce evenly over all the layers.

Cover with foil and place in the oven for 45 minutes.

Take off the foil and bake for another 15 minutes. Check if the potatoes are soft, and cheese is golden and bubbly.
