# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup white sugar (for the caramel layer).
02 - 4 tbsp cubed unsalted butter (softened, for the caramel).
03 - 1/2 cup heavy cream (softened, for the caramel).
04 - 1 tsp vanilla essence (for the caramel).
05 - 1/2 tsp sea salt (for the caramel).
06 - 1 1/2 cups white sugar (for brownie batter).
07 - 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar (for brownie batter).
08 - 3 big eggs (room temperature, for brownie batter).
09 - 1 egg yolk (for brownie batter).
10 - 1/2 cup butter, melted (for brownie batter).
11 - 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil (for brownie batter).
12 - 1 tsp vanilla extract (for brownie batter).
13 - 1 cup plain flour (for brownie batter).
14 - 1 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened (for brownie batter).
15 - 1 tbsp corn flour (for brownie batter).
16 - 1 tsp salt (for brownie batter).
17 - 1 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet (for brownie batter).

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium-sized saucepan, warm sugar over medium heat until it liquefies. Stir gently for a smooth consistency.
02 - Bit by bit, mix cubed butter into the hot sugar until it's bubbly and fully blended. Stir in heavy cream slowly.
03 - Blend the vanilla and salt into the caramel. Set it aside to cool down for at least half an hour.
04 - Set your oven to 350°F. Coat a 9x9-inch baking pan with butter and line with parchment paper.
05 - Using a bowl, mix cocoa powder, plain flour, salt, and cornstarch together. Keep this aside.
06 - Grab a large bowl and whip up sugar, egg yolk, and eggs for about 2 minutes on high. Stir in oil, vanilla, and melted butter.
07 - Gently fold the dry mix into the wet mixture a little at a time. Toss in chocolate chips and combine with a spatula.
08 - Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle half the caramel over it, leaving a small edge. Cover with the rest of the batter.
09 - Bake for about 40-45 minutes. A toothpick poked in the center should come out with crumbs, not gooey batter.
10 - When brownies cool, poke holes all over with a skewer and drizzle the leftover caramel, letting it soak in.
11 - Allow the dessert to sit for 10 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!

# Notes:
