# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 hamburger buns
02 - 8 slices of American cheese
03 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
04 - 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
05 - 1 teaspoon black pepper, ground
06 - 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
07 - 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck beef
08 - 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
09 - 1/2 cup melted butter

# Instructions:

01 - Shape the ground beef into 8 small round portions. In a little bowl, stir together garlic salt, onion salt, black pepper, and regular salt to create your patty mix.
02 - Warm up butter in a tiny pan over low heat. Stir in the chopped garlic and let it cook for a few minutes until it smells great.
03 - Spread a bit of the garlic butter onto the hamburger buns. Toss them on a skillet and toast until the edges turn brown and crispy.
04 - Take a tiny bit of garlic butter and spread it on the beef portions. Sprinkle some garlic salt on top. Use a hot skillet or grill to flatten each portion into patties. Sprinkle the salt mix on them. Cook one side, then flip and add a cheese slice on top.
05 - Stack one patty on top of another to make double layers. Place the meat onto the toasted buns. Add your favorite extras to finish.

# Notes:

01 - For richer taste, go with ground chuck that's 80% lean.
02 - Feel free to swap out American cheese for another kind that you like better.
03 - The garlic butter keeps well in the fridge if you make it ahead.
