Fluffy, golden naan brushed with garlic butter. Perfect side for curries or dinner table favorite.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Ingredients

01 - 375 g all-purpose flour
02 - 0.25 oz active dry or instant yeast
03 - 1 teaspoon sugar
04 - 240 ml warm water (110°F)
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - 4 tablespoons plain yogurt
07 - 2 tablespoons oil or ghee

→ Toppings

08 - 3 tablespoons minced garlic
09 - 2 tablespoons melted butter
10 - 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro or parsley

# Directions:

01 - Combine yeast, sugar, and warm water in a bowl. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
02 - In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, yogurt, and oil. Add the activated yeast mixture and knead for 10 minutes until smooth. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
03 - Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each ball into an oval shape approximately 8 inches long.
04 - Heat a greased skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each naan until bubbly and golden brown, about 1 minute per side.
05 - Mix minced garlic with melted butter. Brush the mixture over each cooked naan. Sprinkle with salt and garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley.

# Notes:

01 - For a vegan variation, replace yogurt with coconut milk and butter with a vegan substitute.
02 - For richer flavor, substitute warm water with lukewarm milk when making the dough.
03 - To make gluten-free naan, replace all-purpose flour with a gluten-free alternative and add xanthan gum.
04 - Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat before serving.
05 - Serve alongside Indian curries like Tikka Masala or Aloo Gobi for a complete meal.
