Seafood Bisque (Print Version)

A smooth and comforting soup filled with crab, shrimp, and creamy goodness alongside sautéed veggies and warming spices.

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces shrimp, cooked and diced.
02 - 8 ounces crab meat, cooked.
03 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
04 - 1 medium onion, chopped finely (about 1/2 cup).
05 - 1/4 cup diced celery.
06 - 1/4 cup diced carrots.
07 - 2 garlic cloves, minced.
08 - 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder for a kick.
10 - 1/4 cup plain flour.
11 - 2 spoonfuls of tomato paste.
12 - 4 cups of chicken or seafood stock.
13 - 1 cup of heavy whipping cream.
14 - 2 tablespoons of sherry wine (optional).
15 - Fresh herbs for sprinkling on top.

# Directions:

01 - In oil, soften the onion, carrots, and celery. Toss in the garlic last.
02 - Mix in tomato paste and seasonings. Stir in flour, then gradually pour in broth to combine.
03 - Let it simmer for 10-12 minutes. Stir in the sherry next.
04 - Blend in cream, shrimp, and crab meat. Slowly heat for 5 minutes. Add seasonings before garnishing with herbs.

# Notes:

01 - Seafood stock brings out a stronger taste.
02 - You can skip the sherry if you want.
