Mushroom Chicken Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 slices of Muenster cheese.
02 - 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped.
03 - Half a cup of dry sherry.
04 - 3 large chicken breasts, sliced in half lengthwise.
05 - 1½ cups of heavy cream.
06 - Flour for dusting, plus 2 extra tablespoons.
07 - 8 ounces of cremini mushrooms, thinly sliced.
08 - 4 tablespoons of butter, split up.
09 - A tablespoon of olive oil.
10 - Salt and pepper as needed.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F. Slice up the chicken, season it, then coat in flour.
02 - In a mix of oil and butter, brown both sides of the chicken for 3-4 minutes. Move it to the dish.
03 - Cook the mushrooms in melted butter until they’re golden, then toss them into the dish.
04 - Whisk butter, flour, and garlic together to make a roux. Gradually stir in cream and sherry until it thickens.
05 - Pour the sauce all over the chicken, lay cheese on top. Cover, bake for 20 minutes, then broil till golden.

# Notes:

01 - Sherry can be swapped for marsala.
02 - Use any cheese that melts nicely.
03 - Keep a close eye while broiling.
