Slice your old bread into small cubes, about 1 inch, and keep it aside for later.

Combine cinnamon, vanilla, sugar, cream, milk, and eggs in a big bowl. Mix well until smooth.

Toss the bread cubes into the custard mix, making sure everything gets coated. Leave them for 10 minutes to soak up the flavors.

Turn your oven to 350°F and grease a muffin tin or use liners.

Spoon the soaked bread into the muffin cups and lightly press them in. Stir together sugar and cinnamon, pour the butter over the muffins, and then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mix on top.

Pop them in the oven for 20-25 minutes until they’re golden and firm. Let them cool down in the tin a bit before transferring them to a rack. They’re great warm, especially with maple syrup on top!
