Chicken Jack Cheese Melt (Print Version)

Juicy chicken breast coated in melted Monterey Jack cheese, loaded with sautéed onions and mushrooms.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 medium-sized chicken breasts.
02 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic.
03 - A pinch of salt to season.
04 - 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce.
05 - 1 medium onion, thinly sliced.
06 - A tablespoon of smoked paprika.
07 - 2 Monterey Jack cheese slices.
08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil plus more, if needed.
09 - Half a pound of mushrooms, cut thin.
10 - 1 tablespoon of butter and a little extra.
11 - 1 tablespoon freshly-squeezed lemon juice.
12 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper.
13 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce.

# Directions:

01 - Flatten the chicken evenly using a meat mallet.
02 - Mix together garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire, paprika, and lemon juice. Coat the chicken and leave it for 30+ minutes.
03 - Heat olive oil and sauté mushroom slices with the onion. Stir until they brown, then set to the side.
04 - Cook the marinated chicken in butter for 5-7 minutes on each side. Sprinkle it with black pepper and salt while cooking.
05 - Put cheese on top of the chicken, cover the pan, and let it melt. Add the sautéed onions and mushrooms before serving.
