Caramelized Onion Chilli Pasta (Print Version)

Silky pasta tossed with caramelized onions, chilli oil, and creamy sauce for a bold, comforting meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 200 g spaghetti

→ Sauce

02 - 2 tbsp chili oil
03 - 120 ml cream
04 - 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
05 - 3 tbsp olive oil
06 - 3-4 garlic cloves, chopped
07 - 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
08 - Salt to taste (~1-2 tsp)

→ Optional Toppings

09 - Grated Parmesan cheese
10 - Chopped parsley

# Directions:

01 - Thinly slice the red onion.
02 - Boil water in a pot, then add 2 tsp salt and spaghetti. Cook according to package instructions.
03 - Heat olive oil in a pan on medium heat until hot but not smoking. Add sliced onions and caramelize for 6-7 minutes over medium heat.
04 - Add chopped garlic, chili oil, and cream to the caramelized onions. Stir well.
05 - Stir in Italian seasoning and salt to taste. Optionally, add grated Parmesan and chopped parsley.
06 - Mix the sauce with the cooked pasta and serve.

# Notes:

01 - Caramelize the onions slowly to bring out their natural sweetness.
02 - Use freshly grated Parmesan for a stronger flavor.
