Layered Beef Potato Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1½ lbs of ground beef.
02 - A finely chopped yellow onion.
03 - 4 lbs of russet potatoes, peeled and cut into ¼-inch slices.
04 - 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
05 - One can (10.75 ounces) condensed cheddar soup.
06 - A 12-ounce can of evaporated milk.
07 - Half a cup of milk.
08 - A touch of garlic powder (½ tsp).
09 - Kosher salt, use as needed.
10 - Add black pepper to taste.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F. Coat a 9x13 pan with a little oil or butter.
02 - Sauté the meat and onion with salt and pepper, then get rid of the grease.
03 - Lay down alternating layers of potato slices, beef mixture, and cheese, doing this four times. Lightly season each time.
04 - Whisk together the cheddar soup, both kinds of milk, and garlic powder until creamy.
05 - Pour the sauce over the layers. Cover it up and bake for an hour, then bake uncovered for 15 minutes till golden.

# Notes:

01 - Let it cool a bit before slicing.
02 - Can be assembled in advance.
03 - Try to get uniform potato slices.
