01 -
Use a sharp blade or mandoline to carefully remove the banana peels and slice the bananas thinly. Aim for roughly 1/8 inch slices for an even texture.
02 -
Combine the ground cinnamon with the sugar in a tiny bowl. Stir until the mixture looks evenly blended.
03 -
Brush each slice of banana with melted butter or coconut oil on both sides. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar combo evenly over each piece.
04 -
Lay the coated bananas in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Make sure they don’t overlap so they cook evenly. Depending on your air fryer’s size, you might need multiple batches.
05 -
Cook the bananas at 300°F (150°C) for 10–15 minutes. Flip them halfway, and check around the 12-minute mark. They should look golden and feel slightly crisp. Remember, they’ll crisp up more as they cool.
06 -
Let the chips cool completely on a cooling rack. Once they’re fully cooled, eat them right away or keep them in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
